Design

Whatever your design requirements are our, highly skilled design team are ready to interact with you to create some original material specific to you. So whether you require artwork for a business card or a full designed catalogue we are sure our skilled creative staff will produce an outstanding and inventive design suitable to the product you require.

We are able to advise and design corporate identities, marketing materials and strategies. We can design a range of printed material and are able to amend and touch-up artwork, which is supplied to us.

We also offer copywriting and proofreading services so whether you require a poster, flyer, brochure or catalogue we have the ability to take your project from concept to completion or simply scan and alter your copy to compel your reader to take the desired action.

The Horton Print Group Studio is Mac based; however, we are able to accept certain PC files. The packages the studio use are Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design and Freehand, we are also able to use high res, press ready PDFs.

We have the following design requirements:

  • Open files may be supplied if they are in Quark (please save in version 5 or 6),
Images must be supplied in EPS, Tiff or PDF format in CMYK (if full colour) and at 300dpi
  • Fonts must also be included; both desktop and printer versions or true type fonts.
  • Illustrator files may also be supplied (version CS2 or lower), as can Freehand files (saved to version 10 or Freehand EPSs).
  • In-Design and PDFs may be supplied.
  • If artwork is full colour it should be supplied in CMYK format unless it requires specials (pantones).
  • Artwork must be supplied with 3mm bleed if possible.

Files may also be supplied in Word format, however, occasionally; changing platforms from PC to Mac can cause problems. Ideally we would recommend that you use Word for copy and try adhering to the above guidelines for design.

If alterations are required to artwork, an additional fee may be charged. However, no work will be carried out without your authorisation.
